Cellar for up to 10 years. Decant for up to an hour before serving. Tinto del Pueblo is a crisp, dry red wine with a stunning violet colour. It was crafted from grapes grown exclusively within the town of Las Compuertas, in the Luján de Cuyo region of Mendoza, Argentina. Look for aromas of black cherry, blackcurrant and blackberry, supported aby subtle floral hints of lavender and violet. The Durigutti Family Winery was founded in 2002, aby brothers Héctor and Pablo Durigutti. In 2007, they acquired their first 5-hectare plot of vineyards in the Las Compuertas appellation, which has since formed the backbone of their operation. Las Compuertas is considered to be the birthplace of Malbec and is packed with old vineyards, responsible for producing some of Argentina’s highest-quality wines over the years. Tinto del Pueblo is a fresh, approachable red wine, with vivacious acidity and soft, velvety tannins. On the palate, you can discover notes of cassis, cherry and dark hedgerow fruits, with accents of green herbs and purple flowers. The grapes were grown in alluvial soils, rich in calcium carbonate, before being aged for 4 months in concrete tanks. The absence of oak ageing has led to a pure, fruit-forward wine, perfectly representing the town of Las Compuertas. Enjoy Tinto del Pueblo alongside grilled meats, soft cheese, or tomato-rich pasta.
